Marge Casey + Associates photographer, Robert Staudinger + Andreas Franke won a 2005 Cannes Lions Direct Gold award for their work with Debra-Austira, a non-profit organization that creates awareness for the needs of butterfly children afflicted with Bullosa (EB).
EB is a painful genetic skin disease that makes the simplest of childhood activities excruatingly painful. Staudinger + Franke’s photographs create a visual metaphor that draws the average person into the little known world of butterfly children and inspires action.
