I don't understand the idea behind this campaign for Pianegonda Jewelry. Anybody does?

I have actually seen this campaign in fashion magazines and it works. Put in the context of page after page of expressionless, fabulously clad and coiffed models the goofy faces of the Pianegonda Jewelry adverts causes the reader to have a "what the heck" moment. It made me stop and examine the advert whereas most of the time I barely glance at the jewelry adverts in mags.
