Mileage Maze!
An interactive medium to promote a motorcycle called the Auteco Boxer and communicate its fuel effieciency. A huge and long maze game with only one entry was created and once you found your way out of the maze, the copy read '254 kilometres per gallon'. This was again done by The Tonga Workroom from Shanghai, China.Art & Technology from Mumbai!

Pretty interesting this. AMO Communications in Mumbai, India did this campaign for an online art gallery at www.louvre.com. The site features work from Music & Visual Artists. Log on to know moreFriday, July 28, 2006
Lesser Trees by The Tonga Workroom
Another Guerilla Idea...this one was done by The Tonga Workroom in Shanghai. I don't quite understand the logistics of how this idea worked. Was the greenery we see on the front of the dispenser replaced each day? If it was, the idea would only work in places where I used the tissue paper dispenser every day! Otherwise I'd assume it was always the same. Can you think of an explanation??Gajalee Sea Food Restaurant

A very different and weird campaign for a Sea Food Restaurant called Gajalee at the Phoenix Mills Compound in Mumbai. I'm kinda confused at the exact idea here. Is it all about the smell of fish? Or is it about something else? The Axe Bus
A cool guerilla idea by Lowe, Dubai to promote Axe. From outside it loox like that's a bus full of women and a man having a great party! viaSmiles Galore!

I like the attitude these ads by George Patterson, Y&R from Australia portray. While there are loads of ads that are motivated towards making a donation or supporting a cause by showing you shocking visuals or by a clever execution, the tone of these ads makes them very friendly and warm and most importantly relatable. Now who doesn't want to see a smile on a kid's face!

The South East Asian Bandwagon!

If you just heard a loud sound, it might have just been your jaw dropping! Welcome to the impact of advertising from South East Asia. I've always believed that the most bizzare and stunningly creative ideas come from countries like Bangkok, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan & China.Seals Moisture
ELE-PHAT!!
This ad for my body gym is kinda hilarious. I love the idea of the elephant following the fat lady instead of its own mother! I do wonder if that's going to put off fat people as it looks like it ridicules them. We recently did a campaign for a weight loss program featuring pregnant men! (well, fat men who looked like pregnant men)...I find a parallel of sorts with this idea ad the one we did. viaWednesday, July 26, 2006
ITIVI Campaign

Thanks to Tolga Büyükdoganay for sending in this campaign for ITIVI. It features a style and technique that we've seen before but translates into an interesting campaign that's not only cost-effective but interesting too!Tuesday, July 25, 2006
The Ogilvy Belgium Copy Test!?

These 2 ads for Ford's New Ranger XLT have been doing the rounds across the advertising blogosphere for a few days now. I recently bumped into this post by Coolzor that reveals that these ads by Ogilvy, Belgium might not be as original as they seem because exactly the same idea has been done before in 1999 for the launch of the 607 from Peugeot! The agency behind the Peugeot is unknown though.

Here's the 1999 ad that was done by Peugeot. Saints v/s Sinners, Anybody got anything more to say??

Harmony Returns!

Another campaign for Harmony, the magazine for Senior Citizens. This print campaign tries to promote their website, www.harmonyindia.org. You can see their previous print campaign here!Veja Type II

Veja, the magazine from Brazil is back with it's latest typo campaign. Their last campaign was a roaring success across the advertising world winning loads of metal in several ad fests. Now, this campaign for me is a bit of a let down though it still is great work. Candy Land!!

I don't really know if Ogilvy & Mather, Singapore shot this campaign for Perfetti or if this was done on photoshop but it's an idea that comes like a wave of fresh air. To be honest, I did think of Sony Bravia for a second but then, that's just natural. This campaign also won at the Asia Pacific Ad Fest. Great work and if this was really shot, then I'm sure it must have been an experience like no other! VIAHenko Tricks!

A campaign for Henko Stain Champion by Mudra, Communications. This is quite a tricky one. The instance you bring these ads to your eye, the mountain and the trees vanish but take them a little away from your eye and you see them again. The same might work if you half close your eyes but then, does today's consumer have enough time to do all that?Flying Belt by Seiko.
An ad for SEIKO by GMASCO Communications, Dubai. The copy reads 'Now also available at Dubai Duty Free'. VIA help!!

This was a campaign done for Lynx Deodorant a few years ago. If anybody knows the name of the Blue and Pink instrument in the girl's hand in the Brazil frame, it would help me in a campaign we're trying to do. If anybody does, please help by leaving a comment. I wish there was somebody who could. Thanks for the help. Cheers!

Spectacular Harmony from Mudra DDB

Superb! I really think the copy and emotions captured in the words of this campaign for Harmony, a magazine for senior citizens above 55 is spectacular. It reminds of the Indian Express by Freddy Birdy & Naved Akthar ages ago. Not a surprising fact that both are from Mudra. This one is sure to pull a chord or leave a lump in your throat...splendid work, the writer must be a genius. If you know the credits, please help.Kids For Sale!

The Gift of HIV!

A campaign that aims to stop the spread of HIV. It was done a while ago but I thought I'd share it anyways. The headline is in German, I guess! Translates into something close to "What are you bringing home your partner today?" I might be wrong, it would be great if somebody could translate the headline.

Strength of Teeth Again!
Yesterday, I posted exactly the same idea for another brand of toothpaste and it is back again!! This guerilla idea was done by Rediffusion DY&R for Colgate! Advertising can be funnier than you think it is.Saturday, July 15, 2006
Les Milles International

No Bulging Biceps, No Muscular Men, No Big Budgets...A poster campaign by Draft NZ for Les Mills International, a fitness company. The campaign was shot in the Death Valley. VIA Friday, July 14, 2006

ACRES, Singapore

A campaign for ACRES: Singapore, Animal Concerns Research & Education Society. The headline reads 'Illegal logging kills more than just trees.' The campaign was done by Y&R, Singapore. VIA
Hands on Movies!

What I don't understand very clearly is the fact that the hands are at the doorstep while the movies are actually available online which means they are on my computer! May be the same hands on a mouse would be appropriate or these would work best for a movie rental service that delivers the CD's or DVD's home. Isn't it?So Long Gone!

Drink & Die!
To caution people against drunk-driving Vazir Breveries printed a graphic on the crown of their beer bottles. On opening the crown, the graphic of the car appears to be smashed. The reverse of the crown had the Don't Drink and Drive message. A really nice and innovative idea done by Art director, Sanket Pathare and Copywriter, Parixit Bhattacharya. Monday, July 03, 2006
Slim Jeans by JWT!

It takes one stunning campaign and a mind blowingly simple idea to win at almost every advertising festival across the planet. For India, it has been this campaign for Levi's Slim Jeans by JWT that has done it. The latest being a Gold Lion at the Cannes Ad Fest. Brilliant, simply brilliant. PS: The campaign was one of the favorites to win a grand prix too! Too bad, it missed it by a whisker.
