The Andheri Viral!
The Stains That Kill - CPAA & Saatchi!
Thanks to Rajeev Ravindranathan from Saatchi & Saatchi, Bangalore for sending in this Ambient Media Idea that was executed for the Cancer Patients Aid Association. The Pan stains that you see on the walls are a common feature at several buildings in India. Shameful but absolutely true! Work Spaces - Is Yours A Cool One??

I guess it is extremely important for most of us to have work spaces that motivate us for they definetely have an impact on the work that's created. It could be a table tennis table converted into a boardroom table, pink chairs that scream attitude, road dividers as showpieces, race tracks and toy cars under a meeting table, a mini golf course, a huge theatre with a big LCD screen, trailors convrted into creative rooms, a restaurant ambience, a go-karting rink within the office or something absolutely outta the ordinary!
Showcased above are a few agency offices like DDB, Rethink in Canada, Subplot, Grey Worldwide, Crispin Porter Bogusky and several others that have redefined the way office spaces need to look. Each with their own attitude and style. I hope you like them! Hidden in the middle is be positive 24, my very own office...couldn't help but be a bit selfish :) If you think your office is a cool one, send in a few pics...I promise an exclusive post. Cheers! Man Financial by 6 Inches!

Times AV Revolution!

Agency: Six Inches Communication >> Website: www.sixinches.in >> Account Executive: Mithun Devalkar >> Art Director: Pravin Shah >> Creative Director: Pravin Shah, Kaustuv Ray >> Writer: Kaustuv RayThe Chinese Buffet Luncheon!
Thanks to Sandeep Rajan from Fisheye Creative Solutions in Bangalore for sending in this ad for the Chinese Buffet Luncheon at Civet. I guess this is more of a perfect beer belly image, I wish this ad was for a pub but it definetely is funny and gets the message across quite interestingly.Monday, November 27, 2006
Spar Sea Food Festival

A Guerilla Attempt by Quadrant Communications to promote the Sea Food Festival at a restaurant named Spar by placing artificial Oysters on the beaches of Mumbai.
Central Square by Rediffusion, Delhi

Rediffusion DY&R, Delhi created the city's well known landmarks out of the barcode. The headline juxtaposes the visual. In the very centre of Delhi - where the parliament and presidents estate are - a new landmark comes up - Central Square, a world class business district and the capital's most coveted business address. Sony Cybershot T7
A new effort in the never ending series of Slim Ads from all across the planet. This ad for Sony Cybershot 5.1 Megapixel Digital Camera was created by Saatchi & Saatchi, Dubai. viaHUMO Consequences!

HUMO, the Flemish Magazine has always been very experimental and interesting with all its advertising campaigns. Their last effort was mixing cultures, a campaign you can see here. Their current campaign tells viewers about the serious consequences reading HUMO can have. I think the platform is a brilliant one and can be extended across several interesting variations. Great work here.Benchmade Adventure Gear!

Swamp Stingers, Saber Clawed Bats and Fanged Giant Creepers...all a part of this bizzare campaign by Leo Burnett, Thailand for the Benchmade Brand of Adventure Gear. The promise here is that Benchmade makes the finest gear so that nothing (not even the most dangerous things on the planet) should stop you from seeking adventure. Food From Spain - II

Here's the second campaign for Foods From Spain by Bray Leino in Bristol, UK. I think this one is more interesting than the first campaign that you can see here.FCBarcelona & UNICEF

Thanks to Aleix Bou I López for sending in the latest press and television campaign for FCBarcelona & UNICEF that was created by Contrapunto, Barcelona. The campaign also features 2 television commercials that you can watch here and here.Thursday, November 23, 2006
Dominate Hair Wax!

Colenso BBDO in New Zealand thinks that these ads would convince their TG to buy Dominate Hair Wax. The only thing they make me do is wanna go puke! Sorry but these ads just make me feel that way! I wish they work for the brand.
Product: Dominate Hair Wax >> Agency: Colenso BBDO, New Zealand >> Creatives: Richard Maddocks (Creative Director) >> David Govier (Copywriter) >> Levi Slavin (Art Director) >> Design/Retouch: Simon Redwood
Elevator at Gold's Gym!
A very interesting execution and very clever use of medium by Quadrant Communications, India. Stickers showing two muscular arms were pasted outside the lift doors. Another sticker showing the torso of the body builder with arms stretched was pasted on the inside of the lift wall. When the lift door opened, the arms parted and looked as if the man is forcing the door open. A sure winner for sheer power of the idea! Wednesday, November 22, 2006
Atlas ATB by Leo Burnett!

Why do I get a sense of deja vu when I see this campaign for Atlas ATB by Leo Burnett, New Delhi (All Terrain Bicycles). May be it has to be the technique that's been done before. Or may be this campaign is just similar to something else.
By the way, I'm guessing that this is the kind of campaign tthatt might mean different ideas to different people. The idea for me is since these are All Terrain, the mud, rocks and sand are visual depictions. What's your take on it, interpret it any other way?
Renault Automobiles!

A very nice campaign for Renault Automobiles by Publicis, Frankfurt in Germany. Crisp, clean Art Direction and some good photography too.
Credits: Executive Creative Director: Stephan Ganser >> Creative Director: Stefan Leick, Jörn Welle >> Art Director: Lars Heberer >> Copywriter: Stephen Quell >> Photographer: Martijn Oort
SoL Beer from Brazil!
The Reader's Book Shop!

Maps, Maps and more Maps...I think Maps are the next equivalent to Swiss Knives or Russian Dolls in advertising. So many campaigns that have just over-used the concept that they just don't appeal anymore! And even then, we keep seeing more of them everyday. Maybe the jury at the Cannes has an instant appeal for them??Tuesday, November 21, 2006
VW Van - Xtra Spacious!
A really cool guerilla idea for VW vans by Ogilvy, South Africa. It involves a person pretending to be an airport chauffeur thereby showing you how many guests “could fit” in the van. viaThe Altoids Stories!

Product: Altoids >> Agency: Leo Burnett Chicago >> Country: United States of America >> Creatives: Noel Haan (Executive Creative Director) Andrew Meyer (Executive Creative Director) Pam Mufson (Creative Director/Writer) Jeremy Smallwood (Creative Director/Art director) Desmond LaVelle (Creative Director/Writer) Julie Scelzo (Creative Director/Art director) Pete Lefebvre (Creative Director/Writer) >> Other Credits : Executive >> Producer: David L. Moore >> Producer: Lisa Kunst >> Photographer: Tony D'Orio Monday, November 20, 2006
Apple Upgrade!

Concordia Piglets!
EPCOR Power Play!

Epcor is a utilities company that deals with power & water. This poster series is going around elementary schools around Alberta, Canada reminding kids not to play around with electricity. I think it might be OK for the kids but if this was a campaign that was targetted at the general public, I'd have to say it comes across as forced!Saturday, November 18, 2006

4 News Photo-Mosiac Campaign!

A new technique attempt by Ogilvy, Stockholm in Sweden for 4 news, a TV News Station. I think the technique used here is called Photo-Mosaics. Has this technique been used very widely already?? I can't seem to think of any great work or campaigns using the technique. Can any of you recollect anything similar that was great??Blast From The Past :: NEW on 24!!
The Seafood Festival!
An interesting guerilla attempt by BBDO Bangkok to promote the seafood festival that was held in March 2005. viaA Zippo Guarantee!

Thanks to Brandon Knowlden, a Junior AD from BlattnerBrunner for sending in this new campaign for Zippo Lighters. The campaign will be showcased in this months issue of the Luerzers Archive! The Bigger The Mess!!

There are a few visuals that make your stomach churn and drain the blood of your face, here's probably one. Shocking and impactful enough to make you think. If I saw this on a billboard, it would scare the shit out of me for quite a while. The impact is absolutely terrific...the next time your at the wheel, take it easy. Superb work by Clemenger BBDO!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWENTY-FOUR!
Exactly a year ago, I started twenty four as a small way to share my passion for advertising and communication with the world. Today a year later it has become an integral part of my life. Over the year it has given me immense pleasure and I really cherish the fact that something that I cannot feel, touch, smell or taste means so much to me.Wednesday, November 15, 2006
YGA Peta - FCB, Lisbon Entries!
The Times of Diwali!
A wee bit late but still interestting...it clearly looks like packaging of Diwali Crackers were the core theme of several agencies across India. After I saw Mudra use it to promote a series on HBO and Saints & Warriors do a campaign for Piramyd Mega-Store, here's another ad for the Times of India that has exactly the same treatment to it. The agency here is 'Shop' that is run by the ad duo of Freddy Birdy & Naved Akthar. Have you seen more of these kind of ads??Halloween Menu @ Pizza Hut!

I think this is a superb effort by Ogilvy & Mather, Hong Kong to promote the new Halloween Menu at Pizza Hut. Very clear, interesting and bang on the point. Definetely a winner all the way! viaTuesday, November 14, 2006
Surprise Street Newspaper!!

Just when I'd thouught I hhad seenn it all, here it is...a newspaper that is sold by the homeless and helps people on the streets with career opportunities. Very neat and very cool. I like this campaign by Publicis in Zurich, Switzerland. viaOne Condom!

A campaign that features some mind-blowing Art Direction and a really different idea for a brand of condoms called One. I does look like the headline that reads 'Maximum Anti-germs' lost a little of its actual identity during translation but I guess the idea still remains as brilliant. Great work again from South East Asia.Rodasol Rodent Killer - No Mercy!

A new campaign for Rodasol, the Rodent Killer by Carillo Pastore Euro RSCG in Brazil. The headline reads 'NO MERCY'. To see another Rodasol Campaign, go here.Pancrom - Industria Grafica!

A campaign for Pancrom - A digital studio in Brazil that deals with Pre-press, Printing, Re-touching, Color Correction, Finishing, Color Correction, etc. It would be great if somebody could translate the headline here. For more details go here!Saturday, November 11, 2006

Greenpeace Deja Vu?

This campaign for Greenpeace by Saatchi and Saatchi, China is surprisingly similar to another campaign done by Ogilvy & Mather, Thailand. The campaign by Ogilvy was extremely popular and won a lot of awards last year. You can see that campaign here!
Hot Wheels Bumper Stickers!
A really lovely set of Bumper Stickers that were designed by Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai for Hot Wheels. The stickers were given away free to parents when they purchased a Hot Wheels Toy Car for their kids.Agency: Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai, India >> Creative Director: Sumanto Chattopadhyay >>> Art director: Heeral Desai, Tehrin Shaikh >> Copywriter: Sukesh Kumar Nayak >>

Rin - Back to Life!
Thanks to Debu Purkayastha for sending in this ad for RIN Advanced Washing Powder by JWT, Mumbai. The headline reads 'Bring old whites back to life.'Relpipe - Extra Iron!

Thanks to Vihar Patkar for sending in this new campaign from Saatchi & Saatchi, Mumbai for Relpipe. I think the core idea of this campaign is to suggest plastic pipes as an alternative to ones made from Iron. To see the older Relpipe Campaigns, go here and hereBig Bazaar - Surprisingly Inexpensive!

Real life people, real life situations and really inexpensive stuff that almost anybody can buy...the theme behind this campign by Mudra DDB Communications is quite simple and straight forward. The only place where it may falter is the fact that most of us are tired of being ourselves and we'd rather dream away and be somebody or something else (which is why we have great models and celebs who make products aspirational). Any of you think these ads don't work?Tuesday, November 07, 2006
Lifestyles Studed Condoms!

I don't know the agency behind this really refreshing campaign for Lifestyles Studed Condoms but I sure do love the idea. After seeing a plethora of examples of broken beds, broken roofs, numerous fans, fire extinguishers, sexy women and what not, this is a welcome change. Any of you seen a similar execution for a condom brand before??ANA Second Hand Bookstore!

Barbecues by the Sewer!

A really interesting and cost effective idea to sell a barbecue for Vijay Sales. I don't know the agency but it looks very close to home!Does anybody know the agency and place where these were done? Playsafe - HEAD!

Well someone from Leo Burnett, Singapore has been trying to be really punny and the result is this campaign for Playsafe Condoms. I laughed at it but i'm not so sure everybody would do the same! Agency: Leo Burnett, Singapore >> Creative Director: Steve Straw >> Art director: Allen Ng >> Copywriter: Cheelip >> Illustrator: Felix Wang >> Photographer: Soon Tong (Calibre) >> via
