Definitely a twist on the before and after ads. I had a feeling I had seen it before and thought it was another brand but it turns out I saw this ad in 2007. Not the most recent but still a nice thinking. However as SCAMP pointed out (http://tinyurl.com/cje34y) "When you come up with an interesting and unusual truth, you have to test it against whether it is also a good sell for the product." Would I buy a permanent pen because I couldn't get it out of my nice white shirt? Probably not. It does still demonstrate the qualities of the pen but perhaps a more desirable demonstration would work better?
