Chicken You Can Trust!
A weird campaign that won an Epica in the year 2004. It's a campaign for a brand of chicken named "Le Barran". I don't know much about the Subservient Chicken Campaign but I wonder if this one is any similar to it.
This one comes with the headline "The chicken you can trust!". It somehow would never work in a country like mine because its way to bizzare. I would love to know if you think this works elsewhere?? And any idea which agency did this work?
Advertising Headache!
Panadol is a tablet for headaches. This is a bag that has been used as an advertising (or communication) medium. Interesting and definetely eye-catching! You can scroll down to see an ad done for Panadol by Neil French!
Do you think advertising on mediums like Guerilla and Unconventional places is far effective than regular traditional mediums like print, outdoor, radio and televison?? Or are these just gimmicks to win awards? Speak!

Advertising Pain!
The communication industry is such a cool sphere of work to be associated with. When I get to see something like this, it almost tells me that the number of avenues to talk to my T.A. is so amazingly vast.
The idea was conceived by an agency called Idiots!! True. Well, it may put-off a few people, agreed. But it sure does work like magic in the way it associates itself with the medium. Great work! VIA
Cut little!
More interesting Guerilla Work, this time from a land called Brazil and it's for the WWF. The agency behind the idea is Full Jazz Communications. The headline on the tissue paper reads "Paper is made of trees. Cut little" VIA
Pirated Authors!
Thanks to Srinivas Murthy, a copywriter from Mudra, Mumbai for sending in this campaign for a book store named "The Oxford Bookstore" in Mumbai, India. The campaign was aimed at minimising piracy. The Art Director on the campaign was Sandip Gaikwad. Intresting work for a category that is often ignored.
Student Summer Blockbuster
Osram Light Candle
Interesting DM for Osram Bulbs done by Scholz & Friends, Budapest. The idea also won a Gold Award at the 2006 Hipnуzis Kreatнv Avertising Competition in the Consumer DM Category. VIA
Flat by Grundig!
AIDS in Style!
Hook, Line & Sinker!
Thanks to Brandon from BlattnerBrunner for sending in these posters done for a Lazer Sharp, a company that manufactures Fishing Hooks. According to Brandon, the main advantage of these fishing hooks is that they are so sharp, that they significantly reduce snagging and increase the odds of setting a hook when a fish bites.
The three individual posters were actually die cut before placement in a pattern that mimics its travel through the water. The poster is replaced once a week for a month with the idea that fisherman typically come into a specific store often enough to see the effect.
Run Mumbai Run!
Thanks to Trilokjit Sengupta, a Copywriter from TBWA, Mumbai for sending in this campaign done for the Standard Chartered BPL Mumbai Marathon in December 2005. The ads were meant to motivate more people to participate in the marathon. The Art Director on the ads was a bald Mallu called "Geo" as described by Trilokjit himself! Hope you like these...

Father India!
Here's an extremely intresting ad against Female Foeticide done by Index Advertising. Nice Idea!
Headline: As per the census, there are 958 women for 1000 men. Because, more than 1 million female foetuses are aborted every year. Wake up before it's too late. Ban Sex Determination.
Agency: Index Advertising
Copywriter: Shoeb Shaikh
Art Director: Shoeb Shaikh & Khalil Shaikh
Extreme Coincidence!
I was running through some old ads and I spotted this press campaign done for a health club named Extreme some where in South East Asia. It reminded me of the Ogilvy, Mumbai campaign posted a few days back. Do any of you see the same??
By the way, for those interested in more...this campaign also won something at the Asia Pacific Ad Festival in 2005.

Baby in the Bin!
How many movies have we seen where new borns are dumped into bins and left to find a way for themselves. Well, looks like its reality time!
To combat the problem that was rapidly increasing in Bankok, Ogilvy One installed these false garbage cans in regions next to the university of Bangkok, equipped with a device with a movement sensor. Each time a person passed by the cans, they emitted the sound of a child crying.
When opening the cover, the viewer found a message inviting them to know more about a contraceptive pill in the site of the Schering. The campaign caused controversy, spontaneous media coverage and lots of attention. VIA
