Naaaaaaah! Don't call me FAT!

A cardinal rule when making an ad or a campaign or any communication: Don't tell the consumer that you are wrong or try to show him in a negative frame of mind. This campaign does exactly that. "Fat people don't want to be told that they are fat!" and that is the truth. Every fat person will tell you, don't tell me my problem, I know it and don't want it to be repeated.
This campaign by Ogilvy for Zaf Fitness Club is a pun on the word "Burn Fat" but I'm of the opinion that it would repel a large segment of the TG due to the light in which it potrays them. Trust me, nobody who's fat wants to be called it, let alone be hunted down and burnt! Well, sometimes it does pay to put your creative brains aside and think about what your consumer might think, coz it's the only thing that matters at the end of the day!

Coffee Wars in New Zealand!

Draft New Zealand created this ambient campaign for an Aukland coffee cafe, a market segment we're told is filled with many independents alongside giants like Starbucks.
Draft created and placed branded trashcans throughout the city that looked like coffee cups including a stir stick. We're also told Starbucks wasn't too happy one was placed outside its own store and several Starbucks employees ripped all the branding off that particular can. Well, looks like ad-wars are alive and kicking in Kiwi Land. VIA

Pages BBDO Direct Mailer

Thanks to Yaqui Nunez for sending in this Direct Mail Effort created by Pages BBDO and had to be implemented with an extremely low budget. The results speak for itself. It won a GOLD in the CARIBE festival which is a regional creative awards event for the Caribbean. Let's see how it does in the big ones.

Here are the credits for the campaign:

General Creative Director: Rodolfo Borrell
Senior Copywriter: Dilia Luna
Designer: Scarly Bidó
Agency: PagésBBDO, Dominican Republic
Category: Charities, public health & safety, public awareness messages

Kick Some Dirty Politician Arse!

Oh damn! I wish we could do this here in India. In Brazil, A new denim brand called Forum has just launched a new campaign that features models fighting corrupt politicians and cleaning up the country. It's a really nice platform to build a brand on.
Makes your TG want to wear it just because you speak for a cause. Lovely stuff and who on the planet does not wanna kick a politicians arse! Way to go Brazil, you guys are lucky to have such levels of freedom of speech and action. VIA

Laxative that really works!

Headline: THE NATURAL LAXATIVE
Body Copy:
Ad 1) Before: 87 kg. After: 86.3 kg
Ad 2) Before 91 kg. After:90.3 kg
Ad 3) Before 40 kg After: 39.4 kg
Agency: Ogilvy, Mumbai
Superb! One definitive word to describe this idea for Dr.Morepen, a laxative from India. The campaign developed by Ogilvy, Mumbai is a little old but makes me want to stand up and applaud everytime I see it. Really nice work. This one rocks all the way!

Mid-Day Mumbai!

I really really love the way this campaign for Mid-Day has been art-directed. Ogilvy has really managed to capture so many little elements of Mumbai and India in such an interesting way out here. Really differently thought. It might not be fresh now, but when it was done almost 2 years ago, it was a real good one for its times. Supah!

Protect Your Head - FCB Ulka

FCB Ulka is gunning for some big metal at the Abby's Night on the 31st of March (Advertising Club of Bombay). This piece is one of their entries in the Public Service Category. The agency also promises to create an impact at the fest with 2 of its TVC's, Hari Sadu for Naukri.com and Punch for Tata Indica. What happens at the Abby's, well, its all coming very soon!

Beggar Boy from Grey, India

This really nice Guerilla Effort from Grey in India is sure to turn a few heads and hopefully members of the International Jury at the Ad Festivals. The effort for Childcare, India aims to help more than 20 Million Indian Children who beg on the streets each day. I love the fact that it depicts the true reality in the way we deal with them - push them away. Great use of medium and an equally amazing message too. Stunning work! VIA

Ariel Stains - Saatchi & Saatchi, India

O.K. People! Here it is...I guess this Guerilla Campaign for Ariel will be one of India's biggest contenders at Advertising Shows across the world. It has already won at the Asia Pacific Ad Festival and is a big contender at the Cannes and One Show Advertising Festivals this year. VIA

Medication For Children!

The line that is struck out reads "keep out of reach from children". Agency: Unknown.

Drunk & Dead

It takes courage of another kind to say stuff as it is and strength that's equally brilliant to accept it. These ads may not have the best english or the finest words that could be used by what they do have is reality that hits one hard and think twice about drunken driving. What do you think??

ABC School of Cooking!

This is a funny campaign for the ABC School of Cooking. The campaign won an award at the Asia Pacific Ad Fest last year. I don't relly know which agency did this but its a really nice and refreshing idea. Memeorable, funny and well executed.

The Montana METH Project

The Montana Meth Project is an initiative to inform, educate and restrict the use of the deadly drug - Methamphetamine. A drug that has terrible side effects that last from 6 to 24 hours and lead to high agitation, violent behaviour and many other horrible side effects.
Methamphetamine use by young people in Montana is dramatically higher than the national average of USA and the majority of all drug-related federal sentences in Montana are related to methamphetamine; clearly indicating there is a meth epidemic in Montana.
These and a host of other facts have compelled leading professionals and organizations to form the Montana Meth Project, a community prevention effort aimed at the methamphetamine problem in Montana. More about this really horific drug out here!

Sombody Explain This! (Mature Content)!!

:: MATURE CONTENT: (Viewer Discretion Advised) ::
I think this is an ad that Talks about Prevention of Aids or Requests people to react against AIDS and has something to do with an elephant too. The baseline is in something in French and I can't seem to decipher the idea without it. Can anybody tell us what this ad is all about??

Keep it Clean!

An ad for Saforelle, a cleaning solution that helps your clothes get rid of odor! Agency: Unknown.

Deep Sleep Theory.

A press campaign by McCann Singapore for Deepsleep Sleeping Tablets. Nice Idea but I felt the execution could have even been better. And by the way, what's with logo's being so small that you hardly read them?? Are you trying to sell the product or what! Me is confused...

The Wendon from 1970!

A nice campaign from Le Coq Sportif range of Shoes. Agency: Unknown.

Taekwondo Breaks!

More and more Guerilla work pouring in from across the world. I sometimes wonder if there's more Guerilla Work happening when compared to regular work. I also get the feeling that this is the medium invented by agencies to win awards easily and with minimum spending! Anyways, this Guerilla Piece was done by DDB Singapore for JH Kim Taekwondo Institute. Clever stuff! VIA

Bad Fit = Bad Feet

Bad Fitting Shoes could lead to Bad Feet in the Future. Intresting way of looking at ill-fitting shoes. Just that the execution puts me off a little bit.

Primary School Nursery Rhyme!

It's saddening that the World's Largest Selling Newspaper has to do advertising that resembles a primary school nursery rhyme! The Times of India has always done some brilliant work. I don't understand how somebody convinced them about something like this. Read it, scream your opinion loud!

Look out for a Volkswagon!

Thanks to Frederic Durand from Agence V (DDB Paris) for sending in a web-link for this lovely new commercial for Volkswagon. You can enjoy the commercial here! Like it??

Drinking Straws from Spain!

Today is World Water Day. To promote the day and increase awareness, Intermon Oxfam placed king size straws across the manholes of cities like Madrid, Barcelona and Zaragoza with the message “would you drink from this water? Thousand of people haven’t got other choice.” More info at www.IntermonOxfam.org/agua. The campaign is an idea of CP Proximity Live, Spain.

Absolutely Amazing Stuff!

This is such an amazing Guerilla Idea from somewhere in South East Asia. Absolutely great! The work speaks for itself. Does anybody know who's behind this piece of brilliance. VIA

Nazca Mirrors for Natan

One more Guerilla Effort by FCB Nazca for Natan Jewellers. The jewelry was placed as stickers on mirrors so that it appeared as if the person in front looked like she was wearing it. Nice!

Levi's Square Cut Denim

A campaign for Levi's Square Cut Denim. I think the first ad works well but the second ad is a litle weak. Agree?? Does anybody knows the agency involved here?

THERAPIST!!

Grey Delhi in association with the Pioneer Newspaper came up with this press ad that educates people about the problem of Child Abuse. simple & straight to the point. Not to mention, works effectively!

Mirror by EURO RSCG Delhi

A guerilla effort by EURO RSCG Delhi for the CPAA (Cancer Patients Aids Association). Nice work guys!

Feature Rich by EPSON

A series of four ads from EPSON Printers. Each of them dedicated to one different feature of their printers. Nice stuff. Anybody know the agency that did these 4 ads?

Naya Campaign!

Thanks to Dharam Valia from 180 Degree Corp., (a creative hot-shop that offers through-the-line communication solutions) Mumbai for sending in this campaign done for the new and revamped version of Mid-Day! The local favorite news daily from Mumbai
The campaign creatives attempts to capture change through 'slice of life' visuals juxtaposing the change. Take for instance a shot of a young girl walking by a PCO, but is merrily chatting on her cellphone. A line reading "Naya PCO" connects this visual to a shot of the 'Naya' Mid Day. Similarly, "Naya Sachin" captures this change by depicting a bunch of kids religiously cricketing away at Shivaji Park with the batsman donning a Dhoni tee-shirt. "Naya Hollywood" takes a dig at bollywood by candidly projecting a worker installing a hoarding of the 'inspired' movie "Fight Club". The mall mania also finds itself being the subject of "Naya Mill" where one sees shoppers amidst High Street Phoenix.
I really don't know how many visitors from the international arena will understand this campaign. But what do the others think? Think it works? Keep those comments coming!

Oooooh-Aaaaaah-Ouch!

One more from cool ad for the Axe Effect from Lowe, India. The copywriter is Nasar Husami and the Art Director is Sajid Khan. Good work guys!

F+E+V+I+C+O+L

I've already posted one-ad from this campaign. But I like it so much that I felt it only makes sense to post all 3 ads together! Fevicol is a famous adhesive from India and the agency that created this campaign is Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai. Do you like the idea and the simplicity it has? I do!

For those of you who are good at coding or know what it's all about, a small request: my profile and links have been pushed down to the bottom of my blog for some reason. I want to know where the bug in my code is? Anybody can help? Would be great! Thanks for everything.

The Harley Davidson Story!

Since the year 1979, Carmichael Lynch has been comng up with some of the finest advertising campaigns for Harley Davidson. A brand that isn't just a brand but has become a mantra to the millions of poeple who own one and swear by its philosophy. I simply love most of their work and this one is no different.

Say No To Plastic!

A campaign by Grey Worldwide, Delhi for Gail India Limited. Not great stuff, done to many times and kinda old in its concept. Evolve guys...

Framontina Magic!

One more well art directed campaign from DCS Communications, Porto Alegre for Framontina. Captivating visuals, I must say!

A knife for every deed!

A campaign for a brand of knives called Tramontina from Brazil. The company also manufactures a lot of other products like kitchenware, industrial equipment, chairs, tools, electrical materials, catering materials and more. Anybody know the agency that did this?

Does Anybody Get This?

This ad for GE from Sao Paulo, Brazil was done by Neogama BBH. I don't really understand what it's trying to say. Can somebody help? May be a perspective from Brazil might help! ;)

Sunsilk Hair Care

This campaign for Sunsilk Afterwash Combing Lotion comes from the Mumbai Office of JWT. A refreshing change from all the mundane hair care advertising that we're so bored of seeing in this part of the world. The photography in the ads is pretty intresting too...

Shocking Enough??

These 2 extremely graphic pieces of communication are for the Nicolas Hulot Foundation. The agency behind this campaign is CLM BBDO, Paris.

For those of you interested, The Nicolas Hulot Foundation is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 1990 and makes young people and adults aware of the riches and the fragility of our natural heritage and supports concrete initiatives in aid of the environment in a move for sustainable development.

It is the only state-approved French Foundation to act in the field of education about the environment, the Fondation is authorized to receive donations. More @ www.fondation-nicolas-hulot.org

Yuuuuuuuck!

A campaign for a Silver Polish called Silver Brite by TBWA Hunt Lascaris. I know that advertising needs to be interesting and stuff but this campaign kinda put me off. Yeww! Anybody likes this kinda approach to creativity??

Yet Another Stunning Stori!

I think this campaign isn't a really fresh idea or anything but still works well from the consumer point of view. It definetely does keep me interested and would make me look at it again and again. Yet another amazing campaign from 1pointsize. what do you think? VIA

BMW Audio Stories!

The most important thing for a brand is the number of ways it can develop touch points with its customers. The more newer avenues you can find the better. BMW has always been a brand that has looked for new and innovative ways to talk to its audience. Like the series of short films it produced a couple of years back.

BMW is back again. This time with a series of 4 short-stories in Audio Format. Download them and enjoy them in your car, on your music system, on your mobile phone or just plug a CD into your music system. Check them out

It's the coolest!

This is so amusing! Loved this ad done at Leo Burnett, Mumbai. It tells me what I need to do every time I have a fight with my wife! This works, isn't it?

Cole Valley Pets

This is an extremely sweet idea for Cole Valley Pets. I also like the fact that it has been executed so well. Specially the first frame of the cat. Agency: Cornryn + Partners.

Anagram Book Shop

Amazing Art and a simple idea are the ingredients that make up this campaign for a bookstore named Anagram in Prague. The agency involved is Kaspen. Never heard about the agency before! Any more notable work from them?

Scholls Light Steps!

Lowe, Bankok is the agency that did this campaign for Sholls Footwear.

Levi's De-Constructed

Arnold Creative, Australia is the agency behind this campaign for Levi's De-Constructed. Like it??

:: Swingers Club ::

lol! A funny ad for a swingers club called Casablanca somewhere in Brazil. I wish we had some of these clubs where I'm from ;)

Christmas from Lisbon!

Leo Burnett, Lisbon came up with extremely sweet mailer to send to corporates requesting them to donate during the Christmas Season. The box contained an image of this sleeping kid and many receivers were shocked on opening the box. Very touching. Very effective. Great work that actually works :)

Chinese Natural Toothpaste!

I just love the simplicity in this idea. The product is a chinese or japanese one, so is the ad. I dont know any of those languages, but the fact that I still understand what this product is all about is so amazing! Great work. Anybody know who did this lovely ad??

Pirelli V/S Go Lite! Oops...

The whole world loves a controversy and we ad folks are no different, are we??
Well, very recently I did a post on a Pirelli Campaign and I just found yet another one that is amazingly similar. Yes, click here to see the Pirelli Campaign.
This one is for a backpack called Go Lite! Now which came first, the hen or the egg, you figure...
PS: This Go Lite Campaign was featured in last month's Luerzers Archive too!

Asia Pacific Ad ' 06 Festival Gallery

Here are a few images from the Asia Pacific Ad Festival and the Press Conference that followed. Congratulations to the winners once again!

The Asia Pacific Ad Fest 2006, Thailand

The Ninth Asia Pacific Ad Festival ended in Pattaya, Thailand a couple of days back. Team India had a lot of reason to cheer, infact at last count 13! Yes, it's true. The Indian contingent seems to have done almost everything right in keeping the judges happy.

The only regret being that there were no golds amongst the 13 awards that were brought home by our champions!
The final tally of the Indian Sub-continent at the end of the Asia Pacific Festival read as follows:
Saatchi & Saatchi, India: 3 Metals - 2 Bronze & 1 Silver (All for its work on Aerial)
Grey Worldwide India: 3 Metals - 1 Silver & 2 Bronze (Lion's Eye Bank & Childcare India)
Tribal DDB, India: 3 Metals - 2 Bronze & 1 Silver (Itch Guard & Times Jobs)
JWT, India: 2 Metals - 1 Bronze & 1 Silver (Levi's & Red Cross for JWT, Chennai)
McCann Erickson, India: 1 Metal - 1 Silver (Film for Heal Foundation)
Ogilvy & Mather, India: 1 Metal - 1 Bronze (Perfetti Corporate)
Well, that looks like almost 5 of the top 10 Indian Agencies had some reason to cheer and carry a metal home! Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you for making us proud! :)
Prasoon Joshi, Regional Creative Director, South and South East Asia, McCann-Erickson, was amongst the esteemed jury members this year.
The Asia Pacific Ad Fest received a whopping 4,738 entries this year! A record for the fest itself. The event also saw the introduction of 2 new categories Print Craft and Creative Media.
That's the update from Pattaya for now! The winning creatives will follow very soon! Cheers...

More Bag-vertising!

Looks like agencies and brands across the world are trying to bag some of the finest ideas to promote their products and services. I found this today. Does anybody know where Alinna is sold or the agency that did this? Which makes me wonder, a couple of chains on each bag, how much does that bag cost now?? Expensive, I'm sure...

hop hop hop hop...

This is so cool! A zoo in Buenos Aires, Argentina showcased this to announce the arrival of Kangaroos there! The agency behind the idea was Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi. Sweet Work.

pictures that care!

Marge Casey + Associates photographer, Robert Staudinger + Andreas Franke won a 2005 Cannes Lions Direct Gold award for their work with Debra-Austira, a non-profit organization that creates awareness for the needs of butterfly children afflicted with Bullosa (EB).

EB is a painful genetic skin disease that makes the simplest of childhood activities excruatingly painful. Staudinger + Franke’s photographs create a visual metaphor that draws the average person into the little known world of butterfly children and inspires action. The Agency involved is Ogilvy & Mather, Vienna!

T----------------------------------------------------------------V

One more campaign for the Haier Wide-screen Television done by Grey Worldwide, Mumbai. The team behind this campaign includes Sajan Raj Kurup, Vikram Gaikwad with photography by Umesh Aher.

BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST!

This campaign for Panasonic was done by Lowe, Chile. For those of you who cannot understand the idea because of the low resolution images, each of these television sets features really large objects like the Titanic, King Kong on top of a building and the shark from Jaws in a really minute visual to show how big the TV set is. Like it, think it is rubbish or hate it? Huh??

Banned By Bic!

Well, well, well. Controversy is a famous word in the Advertising Industry. Signifying it extremely well is this campaign done by TBWA, Chile. This campaign was never approved by the client but somehow entered the blogosphere! The controversy has brewed on ever since with a few other ad sites being asked to remove the campaign by BIC. Watch it and share it while it lasts here! :)

Fighting Blindness

Here is another ad I loved from Eider Suso. Amazing Photography combined with some great Art Direction.

Body Copy: Six million Americans are losing their sight to retinal degenerative diseases. With your donation, we can restore it.Call 800.683.5555 or visit blindness.org. Foundation Fighting Blindness.

Breast in the Neck!

Very interesting ad by Eider Suso. An Art-Director from Brooklyn, New York. The Body Copy on this ad is as follows: 'The fastest growing cancer among women is not what you think. Ask your doctor to check your neck for thyroid cancer. Light of Life Foundation. Checkyourneck.com' Nice Idea and brilliant execution. Visit www.eidersuso.com for more of his work.

Lingerie & Rat Repellants!

JWT Paris did this campaign for Stringfellows which I am assuming is a brand of lingerie as the brand does not exist in my part of the world. I like the fact that this is a cool idea done through an economical medium. Most definetely eye-catching and stuff.

Well, if you liked that then you probably would also love this idea done by the Jupiter Drawing Room in South Africa for a brand of Rat Repellant. Inspiration or more, you can decide! Cool stuff anyways.

Oooh-La-La!

OK. So Sex Sells, but what does one do to sell Sex itself? Look at what a Brazillian agency named “PUBLICIS SALLES NORTON”, came up with! A campaign that tells one everything there is to know about the “ELE ELA” journal. Eye catching, intresting and bang on in delivering the message. Ooooh-la-la! Need more like these, huh? :)

PIRELLI EYES!

JWT Mexico is the agency behind this campaign for Pirelli. I don't get the idea behind this campaign! Anybody who can help? Is it about the fact that Pirelli Tyres with their great grip help me stop my vehicle before I hit someone on the road or something like that? I'm still a little confused! VIA

New Zealand DM

This multi-awarded NZ Girl 'Worst Boyfriend' campaign via DDB, Auckland took out top honours at the Direct Marketing category at the 9th Asia Pacific Adfest Advertising Festival in Pattaya, Thailand. The campaign won the only Gold and Best of DM. I like this stuff! Neat work.

Speak Closer...

Speak closer with Smint. A new campaign by Art Director, Paulo Areas & Copywriter, Marilu Rodrigues at Leo Burnett, Lisbon. Photographed by Leo Vilela. To be honest, the art on this campaign reminded me of the campaign for Acme Bookstore done by BBDO, Singapore due to its striking similarities. Do any of you agree? The Acme Books Campaign can be found if you scroll down! VIA

It's a SONY!

This ad was done for The Sony Walkman. Anybody know the agency involved? I like the simplicity in the idea! VIA

Advertising Killed Us!

What is it with Animal Abuse and Advertising? I just don't get this! Is this what advertising agencies have become? What insensitive crap. And how is anybody supposed to appreciate a dumbass product like this?

And what am i supposed to buy it for? So that I can rampage across the jungle killing leopards just to prove that I have a fast car! Bullshit.

And what I don't really understand is the fact that the same agencies come out with campaigns for "Cruelty Against Animals", sigh! This is pure nonsense. Extremely putting off and disturbing. VIA

HE-WOMAN, SHE-MAN?

Red Cell, Milan did this print campaign for Antonia, "A Women's Only" Boutique! Man what it feels to be a woman. ;)

Done to DeAtH!

One more of those black remains black, white remains white, colors that stay the same...I'm so bored of these kind of ads. Isn't really time we found a new way to deliver the message. These are so done to death, it ain't funny at all. Damn!

The Cancer Stick!

For ages, advertising has tried to convince mankind about the ill effects of smoking. Here is yet another campaign that tries to do it in another way. The headline here reads something to the effect of "Smoking is equally disgusting". I don't know the agency that did this campaign. Does it put you off or do you think it works. I'm quite confused myself.

O R I G I N A L I T Y ? ?

A few days back, I remember posting some corporate identity for a divorce lawyer. And recently I found this. Now does that mean this is a copy. What if I found this earlier and that one later. Or is it only about which was done earlier. Or is originality an irrelevant word in the advertising dictionary. A visit to coloribus.com will help one unearth hundreds of such examples. I don't believe that it always has to be about a copy. It could be plain lateral thiking. Bu then, how does one bell the cat? ;)

CPAA Bell 2 Hell

Network Advertising is the agency behind this Guerilla Idea that tells people to stop ringing the bell to hell. A bell that helps them light up a cancer stick that is pretty popular across stores in many parts of India. Neat Idea.

Wish You Were Here!

Wish you were here? It’s the slogan for a new computer game from Playstation II called “GETAWAY2/Black Monday” . For promoting this game in New Zealand, crime scene installations were set up in three cities. Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Radio ads and editorials on city channels gave clues to the whereabouts of the scenes.
Listeners who cracked the clues and were able to find the locations, were rewarded with a brand new PS2 console and a copy of the game. We so often talk of effective and hard hitting advertising. This one definetely shocked the daylights out of me. Superb work! VIA

JWT - WTF?

Advertising is supposed to be simple, effective and easy to understand by almost everybody who is a part of the target audience, right? Wrong! Look at this ad by JWT for its self promotion. Does anybody get it. If yes how easily. And all said and done, do you think it is a great ad? I don't. Anybody disagree?

The Abbys '06 are here!

It's time for the 39th Abby Awards (Organised by the Advertising Club of Bombay) and this ad for the festival is simply stunning. It gives me the kind of feeling that says, damn! I want one of those. Very very inspirational. Super Work. Anybody know the agencybehind this beauty?

Poker Stories!

I don't know if this campaign for ultimatepoker.com is motivation enough to try my hand at poker but it definetely does grab my attention. Extremely eye catching art direction from the team at FCB, London. Photoshop can definetely create magic!

India does figure twice in that list. Ogilvy, Mumbai at 20 and Leo Burnett, Mumbai at 23.

When it comes to the top 20 creative individuals in Asia, unfortunately we did not have a name! Stunning isn't it. I guess the creative guys from Singapore, Thailand and HK really must have all those positions filled. Tough fight.

Advertising that's as dead as a DOG!

Clemenger BBDO, Adelaide, Australia did this ad for its self promotion. Something that really shocked me when I first saw it. It's really hard to understand how one could do this! Really unethical and purely unthoughtful. Sad.

It's Flexible!

Students from the Miami Ad School are the creative brains behind this brilliant out-of-home effort for Dr.Best. Extremely easy to understand and very very effective in conveying the message to the TG. Lovely! via

dung beetles!

This ad for a washing solution or spray that keeps your socks clean and fresh was quite cool. I don't know the agency that did this but I kind of like the idea. Pretty fresh. The only worry was if everybody from the TG knew what dung beetles were all about. Because they form the core idea.

R E C Y C L E - E L C Y C E R

Nice public service campaign for 'The Phillipine Inquirer'. I like the visual treatment given to this print campaign. It makes me want to take a second look at it for some reason. Nice work. via

NO ADVERTISING!

Very interesting campaign for a movie television channel named Digital Plus. It's for a special session on TV where the movies where played without any ads in between (continous telecast). Good idea!

Climbing Shoes by Woodland

Lowe, Delhi comes up with this campaign for Woodland Climbing Shoes. That's the first time I've heard of a category called 'Climbing Shoes'!!. The team behind the effort include Priti Nair, Mohit Arora, Kailash Saraban, Rohit Sahu and Monish Gupta. My only crib with this idea is if everybody will get it. And even if they will, what's one good reason why I need to buy a pair of these shoes?

Kukdoo Koo, Koooooo!

It's bird flu season across the globe and looks like the perfect time for damage control. But I think the effort is pretty lame though! This ad done by Triton (I think) is the effort done. Not too great for me, what do you think?

Father's Day Effect

Father's Day and Lowe shows us its brilliance by doing yet another Axe number. This one is a little old but still is nice to share! ;)

Jazz up your life!

BBDO Portugal is the agency behind this campaign for Publico, a company that publishes books. This campaign is for their collection of books on Jazz.

Bucovina for Bucovina

Yet another ad that I don't entirely get. This one is from Romania. It is for a mineral water brand called BUCOVINA but I'm clueless about what its trying to tell me. All I know is that it has something to do with a beggar or homeless person and a painting on a wall. Please explain...anybody!

AID for AIDS!

Remember Adgeek a.k.a Johan H Ohlson, the 28 year old art director from Budapest, Hungary. Well, the dude is back with a series of new ads and this is one I liked from the new lot. This current set mainly features spec work but definetely worth a look at. Hey Johan, keep up the effort pal. ;)

More Money Transfers

Just discovered yet another ad that uses currency notes to depict the concept of money transfer. This one though is an idea that was executed across various pages in a magazine. My only feeling is that somebody out there needs to try a money transfer ad sans the currency note. The fact that the most interesting thing about an ad is how far away from the original product or service can you take it away from...is something that hasn't come alive in this category. It's time somebody tried something new, isn't it?

I really really like this ad for Bifacid (an antacid) done by Saatchi & Saatchi. Amazingly simple idea that definetely makes you fall in love with it immediately. Great stuff! VIA

Now You See It, Now You Dont!

Some pretty erotic art-direction and stunning hidden messages in this campaign for Pias Music Company by Ogilvy & Mather. I saw the drum-kit but the guitar was a little more difficult to spot. Did you see both of them or did you have the same problem??

No Clue Whatsoeva!

This campaign for a German Newspaper called Frankfurter Allgemeine left me completely puzzled about its message or the idea behind the campaign. Can anybody help in explainin what the campaign is trying to show or say? Danke!
